The Society for Geology Applied to Mineral Deposits Baltic Student Chapter
was created in autumn 2009.
Developing student activity converted into the international team of students interested in economic geology. It gathers both PhD and undergraduates from Poland, Finland and Sweden.
Our supervisors are Professor Adam Piestrzyński and Dr Eilu Pasi.
The regular point of our activity is organization of general meetings to enable members exchange of opinions and present their scientific activity. During the meetings we organize fieldtrips to mines, related production plants and geological research points. It is very important for studying people to increase their practice.
The goals of the Baltic Student Chapter are:
the improvement of personal knowledge and experience through participation in conferences, short courses, lectures, field trips, general meetings
international cooperation through scientific investigation projects associated with mineral deposits, ore geology, mining industry, mineral resources, exploration and research methodology
dissemination of investigation results through publications and abstracts
international exchange of experiences and knowledge through general meetings and website
We encourage to join our student chapter because it enables to come into international, academic institutions and world industry. To read more about the Society for Geology Applied to Mineral Deposits SGA click these organization link in the 'links' section.
